Victorian Sweets Tour

No private tours with this event. Tours will only be Dec. 12,13, and 14 during Victorian Christmas Events.

Come experience what Christmas might have been like during the Victorian Era through sweets and drinks.

  • Taste the wonderful desserts that can be found in Thomasville.
  • Each restaurant will be paired with a shop. Some shops will be serving a beverage that will compliment the dessert.
  • Experience Victorian Christmas during the day
  • Tour are at 1:00, and 3:00 during the Victorian Christmas Festivities. If sold out tours, an additional tour will be added at 10:00.
  • Saturday tour will be at 10:00.

Tours will only be conducted during the daytime of Victorian Christmas, December 12-14.

Walking will be throughout the downtown area.

Restrooms will be at each stop. Most are handicap accessible.

Children are welcomed

No dietary restrictions can be accompanied

The tour will last approximately 2 hours.

Tours begin at 144 E. Jackson St. at the Visitor Center.

You are welcome to take as many pictures as you would like (highly recommend)

What to Expect

Your tour guide will greet you at the Visitor’s Center dressed in Victorian attire.  We will stroll through Downtown Thomasville sampling desserts made by local restaurants/shops but served, with beverages, in  some of our wonder shops downtown.  You will experience the history of Victorian Downtown Thomasville during the Christmas Season.

Grateful Hill Cheese/Blackberry Patch Jam will be paired up with South Life.

The Fuzzy Goat

Fuzzy Goat will be paired with Empire Bagel and Deli.

Sweet Shealy

Sweet Shealey will open the tour with a ginger bread.

Where to Meet

The tour will begin in the Visitor's Center, 144 East Jackson St. Guest can park on Jackson, Crawford or in the Municipal Building parking lot.

To maximize your chances of getting the day, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard from our website or by calling. Cash and/or walk-up traffic the day of the tours are not accepted.

We do not provide a waiting list. If a date and time is sold out, there is always a good chance that we will add an additional tour or spaces on that day. Please email us to let us know what date you are interested in if you do not see availability. Also, you can call EzTix to see if we can accommodate your group.

The tours are held rain or shine, . In the event of inclement weather, we will be able to go inside many of the establishments on the tour. We also provide umbrellas in case of sudden weather changes or if you do not have your own umbrella. However, we advise to check the weather conditions for your days event and dress appropriately.

If severe weather comes up, (tropical storms, tornadoes, severe cold weather, etc.), I will call an reschedule your tour.

Gratuities are greatly appreciated for the guides, although not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20%.

Taste of Thomasville tips the restaurants, so tipping at the restaurants is not necessary.
